Forgive me....Again?

There have been many times throughout my life that I have offended my Saviour in words, deeds, and thoughts. There have been times that I have committed the same offense a short period of time after confessing it before the Almighty Judge. After awhile I begin to wonder, how can God, a pure and wonderful high King, love me and keep forgiving me?

I have always desired and labored to become closer to God, but my human nature has often brought me down to ruin. Right when I thought I was growing stronger, a trial would come into my life, and I would utterly fail.

I think everyone who reads this will know exactly what I just described. The pain, the desire, the frustration, the guilt, the question of: How can God keep forgiving such a horrid sinner such as me?! It is times such as those that there is nothing better to do than to delve into the Word of God for the answers, strength, and yes, the forgiveness that He eternally offers..

"Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."
Hebrews 4:16

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
1 John 1:9

"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,"
Romans 8:1

These verses are not to encourage us to keep sinning, but instead to come to love our God and Saviour with a purer and deeper love. To give us a devotion to our Lord, to serve Him and honor Him in all that we do. When we fail He will not cast us out! When we come to Him, He wraps us in His arms and heals our wounded hearts. Our failings and our triumphs alike are used by God for the purpose of growing our faith so we become more like His beloved and righteous Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Let us now strive to glorify, honor, serve, and praise God for all that He has given us, all that He will give us, and for His eternal, all-encompassing
forgiveness!
